78th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz

Today, the 27th of January, is the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz, former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, the liberation of the city of Oświęcim, and the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

During the anniversary commemorations, the IYMC delegation laid wreaths at the Death Wall at the Auschwitz I and at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. They also took part in official ceremonies held in the so-called „Sauna building” at the site of the Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp.
