Why do we organize exhibitions, concerts, artistic competitions, cultural and civic projects at the IYMC? Because we believe that the voice from Oświęcim sounds particularly loud, and the language of art allows us to express what is difficult to find the right words for. We believe in artists and their creations, which help not only to understand but also to feel the contemporary world with its problems, conflicts and beauty. We believe that here in Oświęcim, as in any other place, communing with art is a need, not just a pleasure.
