Conferences
For many years, the IYMC has been a forum where scholars, experts, and educators exchange thoughts and experiences in organized debates and conferences connected with a wide spectrum of issues, focusing mainly around the subject of remembrance culture. The best known is the yearly national conference “Auschwitz and the Holocaust Against the Crime of Genocide in the Twentieth Century,” organized since 2010 by the IYMC, together with the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the Stutthof Museum in Sztutowo, as well as other institutions and universities.
The aim of the conference is to discuss the mechanisms of the crime of genocide in the modern world, as well as to disseminate effective education leading to the prevention of similar crimes in the future.
