Włodek Pawlik & Adam Zagajewski
The first evening of 2019 will certainly remain for a long time in the memory of those who decided to spend this special time at the IYMC in Oświęcim. As part of the JazzOś series, which began in 2018, two outstanding virtuosos performed in our Centre during the New Year's concert: Włodek Pawlik - the only Polish winner of the Grammy Award on a piano, and Adam Zagajewski, commonly regarded as one of the most outstanding living Polish poets. The audience listened with concentration and emotion to extensive fragments of the joint project of both artists, entitled "Speak more calmly," and songs from the album "Songs without Words" by W. Pawlik. The evening ended with a New Year's toast and wishes addressed to Friends and Donors of the Centre by director Leszek Szuster.
The City of Oświęcim and the Oświęcim County were the partners of the project, the implementation was also supported by sponsors: META. Storage systems, OMAG, Ipsen Logistics and EnCo.
