Presentation of the 5th Poster Biennale

in Luxembourg

On the 14th of May 2016 the 5th Biennale of Socio-Political Posters was inaugurated in the Musée National de la Résistence in Esch-sur-Alzette. The 72 Posters from 18 countries deal with a range of different topics from tolerance, equality, politics, racism, extortion to the violation of the rights of women and children.

Mr. Frank Schroeder, director of the museum, welcomed the guests and spoke about the 20 year-long cooperation with the Témoins de la 2ème Génération in organizing study trips for youths from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg who visit the IYMC on a yearly basis. Then Mr. Jérôme Déodat, as a representative of the IYMC, presented the idea behind the Biennale and gave an insight into the work of the IYMC in Oswiecim/Auschwitz.
