99th birthday

of Anna Szałaśna

On November 6, 2025, we celebrated the 99th birthday of Anna Szałaśna – a former prisoner of the Auschwitz II-Birkenau and Ravensbrück concentration camps, and a friend of the International Youth Meeting Centre in Oświęcim.

The celebration was filled with good wishes, memories, and emotions.
Mrs. Anna – full of warmth and wisdom – reminds us how important remembrance and the presence of others are. It was a special day that will stay in our memories for a long time. Thank you very much!

The Warsaw office of the German-Polish Youth Office opened its welcoming doors and became the venue for this special celebration. We are very grateful for that!wdzięczni!
