A HOUSE TO LIVE
A PLACE TO LEARN

We are in the town of Oświęcim to remind about Auschwitz. To convince, that we must learn from the past. We show that Oświęcim can be a place of meetings, reconciliation, and understanding. We are in the town of Oświęcim so that Auschwitz will not be repeated.

Celebrating 92 wonderful years – together!

On August 21, 1933, Mrs. Zdzisława Włodarczyk was born – and we had the honor of celebrating her 92nd birthday with her! Over coffee and cake with a view of Wawel Castle, and during a walk through Kraków, we shared laughter, stories, and memories.

Among them was a painful one – her deportation to Auschwitz as an 11-year-old girl, taken from Warsaw during the Uprising along with her closest family members.

Dear Mrs. Zdzisława, on behalf of the IJBS and all our friends, thank you for every meeting, for your warmth and courage. We wish you many more beautiful years ahead!
