ENTANGLED HISTORY A SEMINAR FOR MULTIPLIERS
ENTANGLED HISTORY AS A PERSPECTIVE FOR NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
From October 11 to 18, a group of educators from Poland, Greece and Germany participated in a training entitled “Entangled History as a perspective for non-formal education”. The first part of the training took place in IYMC Krzyżowa, the second in IYMC in Oświęcim.
During the meeting we worked with methods from the field of Holocaust Education based on the concept of "Entangled History". The topic of the Holocaust was examined from different angles, which enabled conclusions to be drawn about current discrimination in our societies.
All participants emphasized the great emotions that accompanied them during the visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. Most of them are active in civil society fields and some of them are already planning their own projects and visits to the memorial with young people. Therefore, during the training they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the methods of working with young people on Holocaust Education practiced at the IJBS in Oświęcim.
The training was co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union and Rotary International.
