A HOUSE TO LIVE
A PLACE TO LEARN

We are in the town of Oświęcim to remind about Auschwitz. To convince, that we must learn from the past. We show that Oświęcim can be a place of meetings, reconciliation, and understanding. We are in the town of Oświęcim so that Auschwitz will not be repeated.

German Ambassador honours IYMC staff member

It is with great pride and even greater joy that we inform you that our colleague from the Education and Program Department of the IYMC, Barbara Daczyńska, was among the 50 people honored by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Poland, Dr. Arndt Freytag von Loringhoven, for special contributions concerning Polish-German reconciliation. As a token of appreciation for her personal commitment to reconciliation, remembrance and commemoration in IYMC, she received a set of commemorative coins, issued on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Willy Brandt's kneeling at the monument to the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes on December 7, 1970.

Congratulations!
