A HOUSE TO LIVE
A PLACE TO LEARN

We are in the town of Oświęcim to remind about Auschwitz. To convince, that we must learn from the past. We show that Oświęcim can be a place of meetings, reconciliation, and understanding. We are in the town of Oświęcim so that Auschwitz will not be repeated.

Humanity knows no borders

This morning, we welcomed Mr. Zeitz and Mr. Griessig to the IYMC, who had travelled from Wolfenbüttel to Oświęcim with a camper full of aid supplies for refugees from Ukraine. They said they had read an article about the activities of the IYMC and spontaneously started a fundraising campaign with Ms Natali Trebukhova, who originally comes from Sumy in Ukraine but now lives in Wolfenbüttel, to bring urgently needed relief supplies to Oświęcim. As we are currently not hosting any refugees at the IYMC, we immediately contacted the local authorities to deliver the donations to the over 1000 refugees staying in Oświęcim. On behalf of all the staff of the IYMC, we would like to thank them very much for this spontaneous action and the great act of humanity and charity.
