Inaugural visit by Consul General Holger Mahnicke
On July 24th, the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Krakow, Mr Holger Mahnicke, and his wife paid their first visit to Oświęcim and visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum as well as the International Youth Meeting Centre. During a joint lunch with our director, Joanna Klęczar-Déodat, the Consul General was able to familiarise himself with the many aspects of our work and get to know our house. We hope that the Consul General will settle in quickly and we look forward to continuing the close and confidential work with the Consulate General.
