Jürgen Scheinert has passed away

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Jürgen Scheinert, a friend of the IYMC, associated with the Evangelische-Lutherische Landesjugendpfarramt Sachsen organization.

Jürgen Scheinert has been coming to the IYMC for over 20 years with groups of young people, coordinating and implementing civic programs based on work with the Auschwitz Memorial and aimed at integrating German youth from various schools. In 2018, he finished working with young people in Oświęcim, handing over the care of the groups to his successors. Through personal involvement, he supported the activities of the IYMC. Thanks to his initiative and activities aimed at obtaining funds, it was possible to build the House of Silence in the garden of the IYMC.
