We announce with great sadness that yesterday Paul Sobol, a former prisoner of Auschwitz (camp number B-3635), passed away at the age of 94. For many years he came to Oswiecim with young people from Belgium (Fondation Auschwitz) and Luxemburg (Témoins de la 2e Génération) as part of their study trips to the IYMC. He was an extremely warm-hearted man who told his persecution story with great commitment. Paul Sobol visited us for the last time in October 2019, when he joinded a group of 150 people from the Témoins de la 2e Génération. We will miss him dearly.
