We are in the town of Oświęcim to remind about Auschwitz. To convince, that we must learn from the past. We show that Oświęcim can be a place of meetings, reconciliation, and understanding. We are in the town of Oświęcim so that Auschwitz will not be repeated.

fundraising campaign for Anna Szałaśna

Unfortunately, her health has deteriorated significantly in recent months.  

Anna Szałaśna, a contemporary witness (inmate number 47628) who survived Auschwitz and Ravensbrück, is a long-standing friend of the International Youth Meeting Centre in Oświęcim. For many years, she has deeply moved young people with her testimony.
This year, she will turn 100 years old.
Ms Szałaśna lives alone, and her greatest wish is to be able to continue living in her familiar flat in Warsaw.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Lagergemeinschaft Auschwitz (LGA) for organising the fundraising campaign to support Ms Anna Szałaśna.
