We express deep indignation over the drastic act of vandalism perpetrated on the wall of the Jewish cemetery in Oświęcim. The desecration with painting Nazi symbols in the public space is particularly painful in the context of the site of the Jewish necropolis in a city as marked as Oświęcim.
We hope that relevant services will take immediate actions and the general lack of social acceptance by the inhabitants of Oświęcim for this type of xenophobic behavior will prevent similar incidents in the future.
