JERZY WÓJCIK Head of Education and Program Department
A graduate of the International Relations program as well as Middle and Far East programs at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. In 2010, he was awarded a PhD in political science. Jerzy has been the recipient of scholarships from the Florentyna Kogutowska Fund at Jagiellonian University and from the State of Israel as a Research Fellow at Tel Aviv University. For a number of years, he has worked with several organizations and institutions in Poland, including the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the Jagiellonian University Center for Holocaust Studies in Krakow, the Center for International Relations in Warsaw, and the European Association of Israel Studies. Since 2015, he has been running the Holocaust Memorial Partnership specializing in creating online programs and sessions about the Holocaust.
JUDITH HOEHNE-KRAWCZYK Head of Projects of Action Reconciliation Service for Peace/Deputy Head of the Education and Program Department
She studied political science and sociology in Regensburg and Warsaw. Since 2012, she has been working at the IYMC in Oświęcim. Her professional interest is in "Forced Labor in National Socialism" as well as the conceptual and practical aspects of Polish-German and international meeting based projects. She speaks German, English, and Polish.
EWA GUZIAK Program Coordinator
A graduate of the Higher School of Special Education in Warsaw and postgraduate studies in Totalitarianism - Nazism - Holocaust at the Faculty of Humanities of the Pedagogical University of Cracow. Since 1998, she has worked at the International Youth Meeting Centre as a specialist in study programs. At the IYMC, she is responsible for reservations and the care of German-speaking study groups. As part of the pedagogy of memorial sites, since 1999, she has been carrying out her own Polish-German project "History Through Art," aimed at young people with visual and hearing impairments. Since 2006, she has been an educator for German-speaking groups at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim. She speaks Polish and German.
DAVID KENNEDY Program Coordinator
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) in Political Science as well as International Relations. Since 2023, he has worked at the International Youth Meeting Centre as a specialist in study programs. As a translator and editor, his work includes projects for the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the IYMC, among others. Since 2007, he has been an educator for English language groups at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim. He speaks Polish and English.
ELŻBIETA PASTERNAK Educator
A graduate of German Studies at the Institute of German Philology at the Jagiellonian University and postgraduate studies in Totalitarianism - Nazism - Holocaust at the Faculty of Humanities of the Pedagogical University of Cracow. Since 1997, she has worked as an educator at the IYMC in Oświęcim. In the field of the pedagogy of memorial sites and civic education, she conducts educational workshops and international projects directed mainly at young people and students. Since 2008, she has been an educator for German-speaking groups at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim. She speaks Polish and German.
STANISŁAWA PIOTROWSKA Educator
A graduate of history at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków. For over 20 years, she has been involved in Polish-German and international youth exchange projects. Between 2006 and 2014, she worked in the Potsdam office of German-Polish Youth Office (GPYO), dealing with projects on historical issues and civic education. She coordinated the GPYO publishing project "Poland-Germany. War and memory.” Since 2019, she has worked as an educator at the IYMC in Oświęcim. She conducts educational workshops and international projects related to the pedagogy of memorial sites and civic education, directed mainly to young people. She speaks Polish and German.
