On the border of two worlds

Presentation in Nürnberg

On the 18th of September 2018 at the Foyer of the Internationalen Hauses Nürnberg took place the opening of the exhibition “On the border of two worlds”. The exhibition presents drawings and graphics by Paweł Warchoł and objects and installations of Waldemar Rudyk.

The unconventional form of guiding through the exhibition was presented by the band M.O.L.O., who composed 7 works especially for the needs of this project, being a musical illustration of the creativity of both artists.

The vernissage was opened by Mrs Silvie Preusser from the Amt für Internationale Beziehungen. Leszek Szuster presented the genesis of the project, also recalling previous projects organised in cooperation with Nuremberg.

Also the artists gave a few words, referring to the inspirations that accompanied the creation of the exhibition. In the vernissage took part, among others, members of the Foundation's Council for IYMC - Christa Schikorra and Matthias Bahr, and also Barbara and Martin Kreß from the Destillarta Gallery. The project is accompanied by a unique Polish-German catalogue by Ewa Natkaniec, containing the text of Małgorzata Gwóźdź.

Realisation of the project was possible thanks to the partnership of the General Consulate of Germany in Krakow, the General Consulate of Austria in Krakow, the City of Oświęcim, Małopolska Voivodeship, Amt für Internationale Beziehungen Nürnberg, City of Chełmek and support of the companies: Enco, Omag, Ipsen Logistics, Meta, Austrotherm, Re-bau, Grupa Kęty, Würth, Plantpol.
